SP – Steiner Modules

PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL THE NOTES ON THE SCHEMATICS. THESE CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT BUILDING THE PCBs.

Nyle Steiner and Dick Parker entered the modular synthesizer world in the 1970s with their own unique designs. Nyle, a trumpeter, also developed a wind controller so he could play his modular with the instrument he preferred, a “trumpet”. I remember getting a personal demo of a prototype of what became Nyle’s EVI controller in Nyle’s basement studio in the mid 70s.

In these pages, you’ll find a complete re-issue of all the production modules Nyle offered, and at least one (ENVVD) which didn’t make it to market. Right now, only modules from the Synthasystem are offered and the “Voice in a box” Steiner Microcon.

SynthCube offers kits and built modules. Great site.
