These next three resistors are optional and user
selectable You can first choose to have an adjustable
VC3 input. If you choose this, then you need
to choose to put the trimmer on the panel or
on the PCB. On the panel, you can use a regular
potentiometer, or a 3/4 inch trimmer on the
panel trimmer chiclet. Then you need to pick
values to give you the variability you want.
A 22k fixed for R42 and a 200k for R43 or R40
is a good start.
If you want a fixed, use a matched 100k or
other value that gives a fized scale you want.

V/Oct trimmer:
Use one or the other of the following trimmers,
NOT BOTH.
For a panel mount trim for the V/Oct, use R33 which should
be a panel mount trimmer, not a single turn potentiometer.
For PCB trim, use R36 which should be a Bournes 3296Y series
to fit the pads.

It’s a Bourns #H-83P adapter. It takes the
3005/3006 series multi-turn trimmers. It
will probably accept any standard ¾ inch
long multi-turn trimmer.

* Note, there are three paired NPN transistors in the VCO. The "exponential pair"
in the core Q6 really must have the Vbe matched. This pair can be part of the THAT340,
SSM2210, LS319, LM394, Analog Devices MAT12, etc. The other pairs, Q7 and Q17 don't
necessarily have to be matched. I think that two unmatched NPNs should work fine.
If you use a THAT340, it has a PNP in it which will become Q3. So, don't install Q3 if
you use a THAT340.
Q6 (conisdered the entire pair) must be in thermal/mechanical contact with Q3 and R13.
